Ans. The contesting candidate should not be less than 21 years of age as on the date of scrutiny of nominations.
Q2. If I am not a registered voter in any GP/ULB, can I contest elections?
Ans. No. For contesting election, a person must be a registered voter in the concerned GP/ULB.
Q.3. If I am a registered voter in one ward/constituency can I propose a candidate to contest from another ward/constituency?
Ans. No. The proposer for a candidate shall be a registered voter of that ward/constituency only.
